With a temporary fabric marker, mark the center of the flag on the right side of the fabric. Repeat for opposite side.

Right sides together, fold the bottom of the flag horizontally up to the top edge of the rod pocket. Fold the flag vertically, right sides together.

Hoop StabilStick CutAway paper (shiny) side up. Score with scissors or a pin and remove paper to expose the adhesive surface. Place the flag on the stabilizer, matching the folds to the center markings on the hoop. Finger press to adhere to the stabilizer. Most of the flag should be at the top of the hoop. Open the flag and continue pressing until the flag front is attached to the stabilizer.

Place a piece of OESD Heat2Go over the design area and tape in place. Place the hoop on the machine.

Load the design you created for the front of the garden flag. Make sure the design is stitched with the top of the design toward the centerfold. Use the positioning tools on the machine to center the design with the center of the garden flag. Embroider the design. Remove the hoop from the machine when the design is complete.

Note: The front design is off center to the left side of the garden flag enhancing the modern look.

Tip: If the embroidery machine has a basting function, this is a good option to use with adhesive stabilizers. It helps keep the project from shifting in the hoop.

Repeat the previous 4 steps on the opposite side with the second design.

Remove the stabilizer and topping from each of the stitched designs per manufacturer’s directions.

Tip: Most of the Heat2Go will tear off. Touch with an iron or move iron back and forth to melt topping.

Note: Topping may form small balls which are easily brushed away.
