Linework & Redwork

Redwork or linework is a simple style of "art needlework" of stitching the outline of designs onto a white or off-white fabric in red thread or a different color, but are commonly one-color designs. Dating back to the 19th century, today redwork is commonly called backstitching or outline stitching. Read our History of Redwork Embroidery.
